KindaSoul Media is an emerging cooperative alternative media initiative currently in its creation phase.

While the founding circle prepares to formally register the organisation as a cooperative entity, activities are already in motion supported and incubated by the charity The Missing Kind, whose ethos of kindness, community, and social contribution forms the living soil from which this project grows.

Operating presently without a formal commercial structure, KindaSoul Media functions as a collaborative creative platform bringing together writers, performers, filmmakers, artists, and volunteer pioneers to co-produce meaningful media across books, audio, film, and theatre.

At its heart is the development of The People’s Library, a growing archive of conscious, humorous, and socially inspired media… by the people, for the people.

Alongside this sits a constellation of creative initiatives including fringe theatre productions, spoken word performances, and micro-publishing ventures such as the SwivelBook series, a pocket-sized works designed to spark reflection, conversation, and community exchange.

Structured around cooperative principles rather than profit extraction, the initiative recognises contribution through shared experience, creative portfolio development, and participation in an evolving gifting and credit-based community economy.

In essence, value is measured not only in currency… but in creativity, kindness, and collective momentum.

In short, KindaSoul Media is not yet a finished structure —

more a scaffolding of imagination…

supported by goodwill, humour, and a shared belief that media can still serve humanity with heart, purpose, and the occasional well-timed laugh when things get a little too serious for their own good.

We have a clear path… though the wheels are not fully on the cart just yet.

Which is exactly why we’re opening the doors.

KindaSoul Media is a developing cooperative alternative media platform exploring books, audio, film, theatre, and creative storytelling — all rooted in kindness, humour, consciousness, and collective growth.

We are not recruiting volunteers in the traditional sense.

We are welcoming cooperative members — people who wish to contribute time, skill, imagination, and heart to help pioneer a new form of media community.

Our work spans the full Swivel creative suite, including:

• Books & micro-publishing projects

• Audiobooks & spoken-word narration

• Film & documentary storytelling

• Theatre & stage productions (including Fringe development)

• Visual & experimental media

• Community archives through the People’s Library

Together, these works explore themes of humanity, awakening, humour, vulnerability, community, and the changing nature of consciousness in modern times.

Some projects are grounded.

Some philosophical.

Some gently spiritual.

And some venture playfully into the galactic imagination — always as creative exploration rather than doctrine.

We’re inviting people from all walks of life to join as Volunteer Members within the cooperative.
