Come and join us as a Technical Coordinator, our on site technical support for Manchester operations, ensuring required standards of food safety and quality are maintained.

    Location: Manchester

    Salary: Competitive

Benefits: Enhanced holiday entitlement, company sick pay, life insurance, health cash plans, family friendly policies, EV/ULEV car scheme and cycle to work scheme

Full time position, working 40hours per week

    What we’re looking for:

In this role, you’ll be at the heart of maintaining our food safety and quality standards, playing an active part in the HACCP team and helping ensure our controls are applied with care and consistency across the site. You’ll take pride in keeping our quality systems and documentation beautifully organised and fully up to date for our customers, auditors and third‑party partners, while also supporting the smooth running of our LIMS system, specifications and certificates of analysis. You’ll play a key role in audits, working collaboratively to close out any non‑conformances and carrying out internal audits to make sure improvements are followed through. With a strong focus on helping others succeed, you’ll support and deliver training in food safety and quality procedures, including online learning for colleagues across the site. You’ll ensure all testing is completed accurately and on time, taking responsibility for recording, communicating and verifying results, as well as keeping laboratory equipment well‑maintained and fully calibrated. By reviewing quality data across raw materials, in‑process and finished products, you’ll highlight trends and opportunities for improvement, preparing clear and insightful reports for both internal teams and external customers. You’ll also coordinate external, customer and internal sampling with confidence and care, helping to keep everything running smoothly.

    Essential Skills & Experience:

    • Confident and clear communication skills, both written and verbal, when working with colleagues, customers and suppliers
    • A good understanding of HACCP principles and how they support a safe, well‑run site
    • Internal audit training, with the ability to approach audits in a calm, structured and supportive way
    • Previous experience working with the BRC Global Standard for Food Safety
    • Strong IT skills, including experience with systems such as LIMS, Quality platforms and standard Microsoft Office applications
    • A naturally customer‑focused approach, with a genuine desire to support and add value
    • A flexible, adaptable mindset and a willingness to support where needed
    • Someone who embraces change positively and looks for opportunities to continually improve
    • A full driving licence, as occasional travel to other sites may be required

    Why join our team?

    • Stability & Growth: We’re a trusted name in the industry with a proud heritage
    • Team Spirit: Friendly, supportive colleagues who value what you bring to the table
    • Opportunities for Everyone: From drivers and engineers to finance and HR—there’s a place for you here
    • Competitive Pay & Benefits: Because your hard work deserves recognition
