    Job description

    ABOUT TOSCA

Tosca is a global leader in reusable packaging and pooling solutions that service the supply chain end to end. Re-use is the key word as Tosca facilitates moving away from single use packaging towards a circular model of reusable packaging with its robust portfolio of plastic containers, pallets, bins, crates and more. We focus on optimizing the flow of perishables, eliminating waste at every turn – product, packaging, labor and transportation waste. Our reusable plastic products improve the quality of product delivered, create more efficient supply chains, and are more sustainable than single-use packaging.

To strengthen our dynamic team in Dudley (UK), we’re looking for a proactive and communicative Demand Planner who’s ready to make a meaningful contribution.

    Position Purpose

As our Demand Planner (for UK & Ireland), you play a critical role in translating customer demand into an efficient, cost-effective and sustainable logistics plan across the UK & Ireland network.

You will own short, medium, and long-term demand planning activities, aligning forecast demand with network capacity, transport availability and operational constraints to deliver outstanding service levels, cost control and continuous improvement.

This role sits at the heart of the business and requires strong analytical capability, commercial judgement and the confidence to influence senior internal stakeholders and external logistics partners.

    Responsibilities

    Demand Planning & Forecasting

    • Develop, maintain and continuously improve accurate demand forecasts across the UK & Ireland network.
    • Translate customer demand into actionable logistics and transport plans, balancing service, cost and capacity.
    • Analyse historical data, trends, seasonality and commercial inputs to improve forecast accuracy.
    • Identify risks and opportunities within demand plans and proactively recommend mitigation actions.

    Network, Capacity & Transport Optimisation

    • Plan and optimise transport lanes, routes and network flows to maximise asset utilisation, truck fill and efficiency.
    • Balance demand against available capacity across internal operations and third-party logistics providers (3PLs).
    • Drive improvements in OTIF, lead times, cost per movement and carbon emissions.
    • Support network optimisation and continuous improvement initiatives.

    Stakeholder & 3PL Management

    • Act as a key interface between Logistics, Customer Services, Commercial, Sales and Operations.
    • Work closely with 3PL partners to ensure performance aligns with contractual SLAs and KPIs.
    • Challenge poor performance constructively and support corrective action plans.
    • Communicate clearly and confidently with stakeholders at all levels.

    Performance Management & Continuous Improvement

    • Track, analyse and report logistics and demand planning KPIs.
    • Identify root causes of performance gaps and lead improvement actions.
    • Support process improvement, standardisation and best-practice adoption across the logistics network.
    • Contribute to projects focused on efficiency, cost reduction and sustainability.

    Governance, Compliance & Sustainability

    • Ensure all planning activities comply with company policies, contracts and regulatory requirements.
    • Actively support sustainability objectives, including reduction of transport emissions and waste.
    • Promote safe working practices and compliance with HSE standards.

    Experience & education

    • You have a minimum of 2 years of experience in demand planning, logistics planning, supply chain or transport planning roles.
    • A degree or professional qualification in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Maths or a related discipline is considered a plus.

    Skills

    • Strong analytical and numerical capability, with confidence working with large data sets.
    • Advanced Excel skills (forecasting, modelling, scenario analysis).
    • Experience working with 3PL providers and service-level management.
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
    • Strong communication skills with the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders.
    • Commercial mindset with a focus on cost, service and value creation.
    • High attention to detail and a structured, problem-solving approach.

    Our offer

    • You will have a permanent contract with a competitive remuneration package in line with your knowledge and experience.
    • We continuously invest in your personal and professional development through our training & coaching programs.
    • You will join a dynamic and fast-growing company that is part of a strong international group. We take pride in our green service and encourage our employees to participate in our growth and help us co-define the path to success.
    • You will work in a fun environment with a supportive team that cares about each other and encourages collaboration at all levels.

    Interested?

We cultivate a tight-knit team of smart people who care about their work and their colleagues. We believe this is a really exciting opportunity for someone who is up for a fast-paced challenge and is eager to become an integral member of our team.

Send us your CV and your letter of motivation in English. We’re looking forward to meeting you!
