The Role
As a Commercial Assistant, you’ll play a key part in supporting project delivery, commercial reporting and financial accuracy across a diverse portfolio of projects.
You’ll be responsible for:
- Supporting the setup, tracking and management of project budgets
- Monitoring spend against forecasts and highlighting variances
- Assisting with monthly commercial and financial reporting
- Managing timesheet data and validating hours with project teams
- Supporting client invoicing and maintaining commercial documentation
- Keeping project records, logs and contract information up to date
- Assisting with risk, change and opportunity tracking
- Contributing to improvements in commercial systems and processes
- Providing general commercial and administrative support

What We’re Looking For
- Experience in a commercial, finance or project support role (engineering or consultancy experience desirable)
- Strong numerical skills and excellent attention to detail
- Confidence working with financial data
- Good Excel proficiency
- Proactive mindset with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines
- Strong communication skills and confidence liaising with stakeholders
- Interest in developing a career in commercial management or project controls
- Adaptable and eager to learn in a dynamic project environment
