This Global consultancy have an 80 strong internal creative agency that design highly creative and innovative work on projects across the globe. Working within their creative agency, as a Middleweight Graphic Designer, you will be working on cross discipline projects, collaborating alongside a very talented creative team that consists of Brand and Graphic Designers, UX & UI Designers, motion designers & animators, 3D visualisers, developers and creative project managers, to create work that has a purpose and is very varied. As they are a consultancy, they have multiple clients and a wide variety of projects, which they proudly to deliver cutting edge creative work. This role is based out of their Bristol office which is Aztec West, but they will be moving to Bristol City Centre in the next 12 months. They operate a hybrid work policy of 3 days onsite and the salary for this role is £28-33k plus a very good benefits package.
Being a global company, they have their finger on the pulse of technology and consider themselves to be innovators in how they create and deliver projects to their clients, whether that be across graphic design, UX/UI design, 3D visualisation, motion design, 3D visualisation film or VR/AI immersive media.
About The role
You will work closely with other designers and the Design Leads to collaborate on projects with them as well as be responsible for your own design projects, much of this will be brand, design and layout based, across print and digital, this is all about visual brand and communication and less about advertising and campaign, although they do work on campaigns too, there is a lot of variety. You will be empowered to challenge the brief and go above and beyond with your creative thinking.
You will support creative teams to produce their best work and always coming up with creative ideas, allowing you to challenge creativity, processes and overall improve the quality of the ideas and delivery. You’ll be able to take briefs directly from stakeholders, communicating and conversing clearly with the internal team and external clients, so it’s important that you have good communication skills. The Designers who fit well here are those that seize any opportunity to solve a problem through creativity.
You will bring your ideas, passion and problem-solving approaches to help them deliver fresh, creative solutions. You’ll be a team player and embrace a variety of work, enjoy the buzz of a dynamic working environment and be brimming with creative ideas.
They welcome designers having a broad skill base or have additional strings to your bow, perhaps you are into doing some digital illustrations, or have dabbled with motion, but at the core, you are a designer who has conceptual ability and you have a love of good, clean design.
About You
You are a conceptually strong graphic designer who has worked either in an agency or internal agency where you are used to working in a busy creative team, working on multiple projects at any one time.
You are curious and enjoy exploring different avenues of doing creative work, enjoy solving problems and enjoy engaging across the wider team, wanting to learn from the talented team around you.
Your portfolio showcases branding and visual communication projects. Your work needs to show fresh ideas and a clean, contemporary design style and with a good appreciation of typography. You will be able to rationalise your ideas and present your work with ease
You may be an experienced junior designer wanting to take that step up into a middleweight role, or are currently in a middleweight role but craving a more varied role with great scope for development – they are happy to consider either.
You enjoy collaborating with other creatives, but can equally work on your own steam and enjoy adding value to creative discussions with clients. You will bring your ideas, passion and high standards to a very broad range of graphic design briefs across branding, print and digital design.
