    Quantity Surveyor – Groundworks & Civil Engineering

    Sheffield (covering Yorkshire)

    £50,000.00 to £75,000.00 DEO

    Advanced Resource Managers are partnering with one of the UK’s leading groundworks and civil engineering contractors to recruit an experienced Quantity Surveyor based in Sheffield, supporting projects across the Yorkshire region.


    The Role

    You will take full commercial responsibility for multiple groundworks and civils projects, ensuring profitability, cost control, and effective contract management. Working closely with the Contracts Manager and Commercial team, you will manage valuations, variations, CVRs, subcontractor procurement, and client relationships to ensure projects are delivered successfully and profitably.


    Key Responsibilities

    • Prepare and submit accurate monthly valuations and CVRs
    • Price and agree variations in advance
    • Monitor project costs, cashflow, and profitability
    • Procure and manage subcontractors
    • Attend client meetings and ensure timely payment
    • Support commercial strategy and risk management

    Requirements

    • Experience in Groundworks and Civil Engineering
    • Strong commercial and analytical skills
    • Subcontractor procurement and cost management experience
    • Excellent negotiation and communication skills
    • Full UK driving licence
