Hiring: Facilities Supervisor (Laboratory)
📍 York | 🕒 Full-time | 📄 6–8 Month Contract
We’re looking for a Facilities Supervisor to support the day-to-day running of a busy laboratory facility in York. This role would suit someone with hands-on laboratory experience, including junior candidates looking to take the next step.
Key responsibilities:
- Supporting daily lab operations and equipment upkeep
- Coordinating maintenance and liaising with contractors
- Assisting with inductions and user communication
- Monitoring stock levels
- Ensuring compliance with ISO 17025 / ISO 9001 and safety standards
What we’re looking for:
- Experience working in a laboratory environment
- Understanding of quality standards (ISO 17025 or ISO 9001)
- Good organisational and communication skills
- Ability to follow procedures and maintain records
- Molecular lab experience is beneficial but not essential
