Residential Property & Compliance Conveyancer
Salary: £50,000 – £60,000

Oculus Legal Group are partnered with a highly regarded boutique law firm in Stamford with a forward-thinking approach and a strong family feel. The firm is looking to recruit a Solicitor to join a busy team handling a small caseload of mixed residential property matters alongside compliance work.
The Opportunity
This is an exciting role for a Solicitor, Chartered Legal Executive, or Licensed Conveyancer who wants a varied position combining hands-on conveyancing with compliance responsibilities. While management is optional, there is the opportunity to lead and support a small team of 3–4 support staff and develop into a Director-level role if desired. The position is open to part-time candidates.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing a smaller caseload of residential property matters, including sales, purchases, transfers, and re-mortgages using LEAP.
- Supporting and leading the team, with optional management responsibilities.
- Ensuring compliance with SRA deadlines, regulations, and the SRA Handbook.
- Conducting auditing, file reviews, ethical reviews, and regulatory reporting.
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of training, legislation, and compliance tools.
- Overseeing AML procedures, notifications to the SRA, annual reporting, and handling material breaches.
- Supporting a positive team culture and sharing best practice.
About You
- Confident managing your own conveyancing caseload with a strong eye for detail.
- Knowledgeable about SRA compliance requirements and regulatory frameworks.
- Excellent communication and client care skills.
- Able to work independently while collaborating within a supportive, small team environment.
- Motivated to take on optional leadership responsibilities and develop professionally.
