An independent, specialist school in Surrey Heath are looking for a qualified Science Teacher to join their SEND provision.
Job description:
- Planning and delivering engaging science lessons to KS2-4 students with ASC and associated needs
- Promote inclusivity within a classroom setting
- Work with staff, parents and carers to monitor student progress
- Salary: £40,654 - £58,940 (DOE)
- Full-time, permanent position
Person specification:
- Experience of working with SEND students is essential (in a SEND provision is a bonus)
- Experience of teaching and full competency with science, up to a GCSE-level
- QTS or QTLS is highly desirable
- Adaptability and willingness to get involved
To tailor the learning of each pupil, the school offers small class sizes of 4-6, with around 45 pupils in the whole school. There is a focus on identifying strategies for each pupil to best support their learning, and overcome any barriers.
