Our client, a manufacturer of electric cars whose mission is to bring real engagement and emotion to driving electric performance cars is currently looking for a Technical Buyer to join their team!
The successful candidate will purchase goods, materials, and services to ensure that the company operational needs are met, considering price, quality, and delivery and to ensure continuity of supply, you’ll be instrumental in sourcing high-performance components for our electric hypercars. You’ll support engineering projects, manage supplier relationships, and help shape our procurement strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Balance cost, quality, and delivery efficiency.
- Communicate delays and deviations clearly.
- Manage supplier performance and build strong relationships.
- Identify cost reduction opportunities and process improvements.
What We’re Looking For:
Essential:
- An experienced all-round technical buyer ideally with a motorsport/automotive production background
- Strong technical understanding and ability to read technical drawings.
- Experience purchasing in high-pressure, dynamic environments.
- Familiarity with low-volume, high-performance manufacturing.
- Excellent communication and prioritisation skills.
- Fluent in spoken and written English.
Desirable:
- 2–5 years in technical purchasing.
- Experience in precision engineering and ERP systems.
