    TALENT ACQUISITION SPECIALIST

    Cardiff (Hybrid)

    £22,500 basic salary

    £35,000 OTE


    What is on offer

    • Basic salary of £22,500 increasing to £25,000 after probation (6 months)

    • Monday to Friday - 09:00am to 17:30pm (2 days in office, 3 days working from home)

    What you will be responsible for


    As part of our high-profile recruiting team, you will be in charge of “managing in” the top Mortgage & Protection Advisers throughout the UK – finding individuals who have entrepreneurial spirit and a sense of true trustworthiness to propel our business to even greater heights. You're responsible for guiding candidates through our hiring process. You, too, will bestow this sense of trustworthiness whilst dedicated to the cause, with the ability to develop lasting relationships with both candidates and hiring managers

    From generating pipelines to maintaining a successful offer acceptance rate, you manage the entire candidate experience - the most important first impression.


    • Provide an efficient and high-touch experience for every candidate from application stage to offer, driving the interview process and offer process
    • Communicate effectively with hiring manager
    • Liaise with Managers regarding new positions
    • CV Screening
    • Telephone Interviews
    • Relaying job information to applicants
    • Keep candidates’ files up to date
    • Assist the Training Department with Academy and Traineeship Events
    • Advertise all vacancies via the relevant job boards
    • Conduct the pre-screening of all candidates and conduct interviews both on the phone and face to face
    • Build good relationships of individuals at all levels within the business
    • Responding timely to all candidates and giving the candidate the best impression during the application process
    • Assisting with recruitment events
    • Ensure “touch points” are met for an exceptional candidate journey
    • Build relations with PSL agencies and liaise with hard-to-fill roles


    What you will need:

    • Internal recruitment or volume recruitment experience is preferred but not essential.
    • Able to make others feel comfortable and confident and instil a sense of “trustworthiness” to all stakeholders
    • Strong customer service experience
    • Experience in creating and maintaining relationships
    • Excellent telephone manner
    • Strong administration skills
    • Self-motivated and driven
    • Experience within recruitment is preferred but not essential
    • Confident to "manage upwards" to senior team members
    • Willingness to learn and be involved
    • Ability to work well within a team
    • Experience working with Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word
    • Demonstrated commitment to tasks and to the priorities of Spicerhaart as a business
    • Open-minded and open to change and development
    • Excellent interpersonal and intrapersonal skills
    • Highly organised a refined level of time-management
    • Ability to communicate effectively with people including senior persons and commercial businesses
    • Candidate-focused
    • Ability to work with complex information
    • Ability to stay calm when under pressure
    • Positive team player
