A leading principal contractor within the civil engineering sector is looking to appoint an experienced Health & Safety Advisor to support a flagship energy and power infrastructure project based in Peterhead. This is a rare opportunity to join a major long-term scheme with 8 years of construction remaining, offering stability, progression, and hands-on involvement in a high-profile project that will shape the region’s future energy landscape.
We’re looking for a Health & Safety professional with a solid background in civil engineering or infrastructure who is comfortable being site-based and either living in or commuting to Peterhead on a daily basis. The Health & Safety Advisor will be responsible for:
- Support the delivery of the Health & Safety Strategy
- Drive performance against HSW KPIs at project and business levels
- Provide support and guidance on accident, incident and near-miss investigations
- Undertake regular site inspections when required
- Produce formal inspection and performance reports for leadership
- Ensure robust health & safety risk management processes are in place
The Health & Safety Advisor will have:
- 5 years' experience working in health & safety
- NEBOSH Diploma level qualified or working towards
- Experience working in a heavy civil engineering industry or wider infrastructure would be considered
- Site-focused position, living allowance offer to lodge
