Key Responsibilities
You will oversee fire safety compliance across all buildings, including new facilities as they open and therefore, will have the opportunity to build and lead a team to support this expansion. As the organisation scales, you will guide future fire safety strategy decisions.
- Own fire safety compliance across all sites, including Fire Risk Assessments and remedial action management.
- Ensure inspection, testing, and maintenance of all fire protection systems in line with legislation and best practice.
- Act as the fire safety subject-matter expert, advising on incidents, audits, and regulatory requirements.
- Deliver fire safety training, fire drills, and promote a proactive fire safety culture.
- Develop and maintain fire safety documentation, records, policies, and emergency procedures.
- Provide fire safety input for new projects, refurbishments, and building modifications, and report compliance status to senior management.
Essential Requirements
- IFE Level 3 (or higher) qualification in fire safety or fire engineering.
- NEBOSH Fire Safety Certificate or equivalent.
- Strong track record in a fire safety role, preferably across multiple sites.
- Comprehensive knowledge of UK fire safety legislation and best practices.
- Strong experience conducting Fire Risk Assessments.
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to train and influence staff at all levels.
- Experience providing fire safety advice for construction projects, refurbishments, or building modifications.
