Layrd Design is seeking a Head of Lifestyle & Leisure to lead and grow our interior design offering across fitness, leisure, and lifestyle led projects. This is a senior leadership role for a design led strategist who thrives at the intersection of creativity, client relationships, and commercial growth.
The Role
You will lead a multidisciplinary interior design team, shaping concept to completion outcomes across high profile lifestyle and leisure projects. Alongside design leadership, you’ll play a key role in client management, business development, marketing initiatives, and thought leadership within the sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, inspire, and develop the Layrd design team alongside the other sector leads
- Manage design team workload, resourcing, and project allocation to ensure efficient delivery
- Oversee interior projects from concept through completion, maintaining quality, budgets, and timelines
- Act as a senior client contact, building long-term relationships and driving repeat work
- Contribute to marketing initiatives, awards submissions, and sector positioning
- Support lead generation, pitches, and new business opportunities
- Champion knowledge leadership, trends, and innovation within lifestyle and leisure design
About You
- Experienced interior designer or design leader with strong lifestyle/leisure project experience
- Proven ability to lead teams, manage workload, and oversee multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong client facing skills with a commercially minded approach
- Confident communicator with a strategic, collaborative mindset
- Passionate about design quality, culture, and mentorship
