    Role Overview

The BoM Controller will be responsible for building, maintaining, and optimising the Bill of Materials (BoM) for the 2026 Show car Program and wider manufacturing lines.

This role ensures all components are correctly specified, sourced, categorised, and issued via Stores to sub-assembly or final assembly teams. The role underpins the efficiency, accuracy, and on-time delivery of the manufacturing program.

    Key Responsibilities

    • BoM Creation & Management
    • Build and maintain complete, systemised BoMs for the 2026 Show car and other manufacturing programs.
    • Ensure every part is recorded with supplier, cost, lead time, and usage data.
    • Categorise components logically (e.g., chassis, suspension, bodywork, electronics) so that the easily identifiable, streamline procurement and map to the sub assembly process.

    Procurement Analysis

    • Support the Director of Procurement in sourcing decisions by analysing supplier options, lead times, and costs.
    • Provide forecasting and usage data to anticipate stock requirements.
    • Highlight risks (shortages, long lead items) early to Buyers.

    Stores & Assembly Integration

    • Ensure BOM’s are set up to enable stores to generate picking lists for Sub-Assembly or Final Assembly.
    • Ensure accuracy of parts flow and minimise delays in the build process.
    • Work with Stores to reconcile parts issued to external suppliers and how they accounted for when coming back into the business.

    System & Process Control

    • Maintain the BoM in ERP or procurement software and spread sheets.
    • Track revisions, superseded parts, and changes from Design Team.
    • Ensure BoM data is audit-ready and aligned to finance requirements.

    Cross Functional Collaboration

    • Partner with the Product Team and Buyers on design, feasibility, and timelines.
    • Ensure the latest approved designs are shared with the procurement team and that future PO’s are aligned and any impacts on costs and overall lead times are in line with the build plan and cost targets.
    • Collaborate with Stores and Logistics to ensure efficient delivery of finished goods.

    KPIs / Success Measures

    • BoM accuracy
    • Stock availability vs. Build schedule (minimise shortages).
    • Cost variance vs. Budgeted BoM.
    • Effective communication with Stores, Procurement, Sales and Manufacturing.

    Candidate Profile

    Experience:

    • Previous experience in managing Bill of Materials (BOM’s) in a manufacturing operation.
    • Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems and structured BoM management.
    • Experience in interpreting drawings and translating them into BOM’s

    Skills:

    • Strong data accuracy and attention to detail.
    • Analytical mindset – able to grasp the sub assembly process and the build up of costs through it.
    • Excellent communication skills across technical and operational teams.

    Knowledge:

    • Automotive/motorsport/marine/aerospace industry background preferred.
    • Understanding of parts lifecycle, procurement lead times, and stock management.
