Vickerstock are working in partnership with SANDVIK; a global heavy engineering manufacturer that designs and builds high-performance equipment used in the processing of rock, minerals, and aggregates. The company supplies advanced crushing, screening, and materials handling solutions to customers worldwide, supporting industries such as quarrying, mining, construction, and infrastructure.

Their site in Omagh plays a key role in the production of complex, engineered machinery and is recognised as a centre of excellence within the group. The business combines strong engineering heritage with modern manufacturing, continuous improvement, and a focus on safety, quality, and operational performance.

    Your key responsibilities as a Master Planner;

    • Convert dealer and sales demand into clear capacity requirements
    • Control plan changes using agreed time fences and governance
    • Balance customer priorities, commercial commitments, and operational constraints
    • Support IBP / S&OP processes
    • Coordinate with Production Managers to ensure accurate scheduling aligned to demand and inventory
    • Develop short, medium, and long-term capacity models for labour, machines, and key suppliers
    • Identify bottlenecks and capacity gaps, leading mitigation actions
    • Run scenarios for demand shifts, ramp-ups, and recovery plans
    • Support decisions on overtime, shifts, outsourcing, and capital investment
    • Monitor schedule adherence, capacity utilisation, service levels, and inventory impact
    • Proactively flag delivery and capacity risks
    • Prepare and report customer delivery metrics; manage portal data where required
    • Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for planning failures
    • Identify process gaps and improve ERP planning practices through procedures, audits, and corrective actions
    • Ensure MRP outputs align with the master schedule
    • Balance service, inventory, and cash through planning parameters
    • Support material strategy decisions (safety stock, lead times, build strategies)

As a Master Planner, ideally you will have.

Demonstrated career progression within an engineering manufacturing environment, including:

    • Experience as a Production Planner/Scheduler using ERP systems for scheduling and capacity planning
    • Experience as a Senior Production Planner/Scheduler managing complex products, changing customer demand, production flow optimisation, stakeholder coordination, and ideally ownership of the end-to-end master schedule for a plant or product line
    • Ability to turn complex data into clear, practical actions
    • Experience working cross-functionally in a changing, fast-moving environment
