EHS Specialist (Contract)
We’re supporting a regulated life sciences site in Oxfordshire that’s seeking an experienced EHS Specialist to provide hands-on, onsite support on a contract basis.
Working closely with the site EHS lead, you’ll play a key role in supporting safe and compliant operations across laboratories, facilities, and contractor activities in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and update risk assessments across lab, facility, and construction activities
- Prepare and deliver EHS training for site teams
- Complete and review COSHH assessments in line with UK regulations
- Draft, review, and standardise SOPs
- Support incident investigations, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions
- Review RAMS and Permits to Work for onsite contractors
- Provide day-to-day EHS advice to operational teams
Requirements
- Experience in an EHS advisory or specialist role within a regulated environment (pharma, biotech, labs, or similar)
- Strong working knowledge of UK HSE legislation
- Confident producing practical EHS documentation (risk assessments, SOPs, COSHH)
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent) required; NEBOSH Diploma preferred
- Able to work fully onsite
