Job Title: Car Buyer
Reporting to: Buying Controller

We have an opportunity for a vehicle buyer to join our Car Supermarket based in New Southgate (stocking 1,000+ vehicles). You will have unlimited earning opportunities with our uncapped OTE. With a competitive basic salary of up to £20,000 per annum and a more than achievable first year OTE of £90k.
The ideal candidate will enjoy working towards targets that give them the opportunity to earn more! Your role is to buy cars from customers who make an appointment for you to visit them at their home or place of work. This role would suit an experienced Car Sales Executive / Buyer with exceptional vehicle inspection and deal closing skills.
What will you be doing?
- The role involves purchasing vehicles for Car Planet and travelling to multiple locations within a 70 mile radius from New southgate
- Ensure vehicles purchased, meet our strict specifications and that the refurb costs are aligned to budget
- Appraise cars accurately and negotiate effectively
- Provide customers with detailed quotations and cost calculations
What do you need for this role?
- Full driving licence
- Mechanical and Bodywork Knowledge
- Previous Automotive experience essential
- Experience of working in a target driven sales environment
- Customer focused with excellent communication skills
- Proven ability to appraise, persuade, negotiate and maximise
- Excellent administration skills
The Package
- Salary: Up to £20,000 basic (DOE) with an OTE of £90,000+ (uncapped)
Other Benefits include
- Annual holiday - 28 days inclusive of Bank Holidays
The Hours
- Week 1: 6 day working week
- Week 2: 5 day working week
- Working hours: 09:00 - 18:00
