Shape the quality and compliance of one of the UK’s most critical infrastructure programmes.

This is a rare opportunity to play a pivotal role on a nationally significant nuclear energy project, ensuring construction excellence, safety, and contractual compliance across complex off-site infrastructure works.

You will be trusted as the on-the-ground authority for quality and standards, working at the heart of a high-profile, fast-moving environment.

You will join a collaborative, professional project team where your expertise in NEC contracts, quality assurance, and site supervision will directly influence successful delivery. The role offers real visibility, long-term career value, and the chance to contribute to infrastructure that underpins the UK’s future energy security.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Monitor contractor activities to ensure compliance with Works Information and NEC contract requirements
    • Issue defect notifications and support the defects correction process
    • Review and approve materials prior to procurement and delivery
    • Chair quality meetings covering non-conformances and defects
    • Liaise with County Council inspectors under S278 agreements
    • Observe site works to ensure health, safety, and environmental compliance
    • Maintain accurate inspection, testing, and site activity records
    • Witness testing and commissioning activities
    • Coordinate with project quality teams and management systems
    • Produce clear written and verbal reports for project leadership

    Qualifications & Requirements

    • Proven experience in complex, regulated construction environments
    • Strong working knowledge of NEC contracts
    • Degree and chartered status in engineering or construction (or equivalent)
    • Knowledge of CDM 2015 Regulations
    • CSCS card and relevant H&S training
    • Excellent communication and documentation skills
    • Ability to apply a graded approach to quality

    What’s in it for you

Working in the nuclear sector means long-term project pipelines, exceptional standards, and work that genuinely matters for the UK’s future.

    • Outstanding job security and long-term programmes
    • Competitive market rates for permanent roles
    • Hybrid working arrangements
    • Strong focus on safety, quality, and professionalism
    • Exposure to nationally significant infrastructure
    • Clear pathways for career progression
