Location: Worcester (multi-site with expansion plans)

    Contract: Permanent, Full-Time

An opportunity has arisen for a senior operations leader to take ownership of the launch and development of specialist children’s services focused on Autism and ADHD pathways.

This role is ideally suited to someone who enjoys creating structure from the ground up. Designing operational frameworks, mobilising teams, and ensuring services are safe, effective, and scalable as they grow.

You will play a central role in establishing the first sites in Hereford and Worcester, working in close partnership with clinical leadership while shaping the future direction of children’s services as expansion progresses.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Lead operational set-up and launch of Autism and ADHD services
    • Develop workforce, clinic, patient pathway, and systems plans
    • Ensure services are compliant, safe, and fully operational from day one
    • Establish scalable operational models for future expansion
    • Manage day-to-day delivery across referrals, appointments, clinic activity, and follow-up pathways
    • Monitor performance, address bottlenecks, and ensure consistent service standards
    • Collaborate with clinical teams to align operational delivery with quality standards
    • Recruit, lead, and mentor operational teams including administrators, team leads, and future service managers
    • Build a high-performing structure to support service growth
    • Foster collaboration between operational and clinical colleagues
    • Oversee use of operational platforms and patient management systems
    • Ensure technology supports efficiency, reporting, and service scalability
    • Drive continuous process improvements
    • Act as the operational lead for children’s services
    • Partner with clinical, finance, IT, and growth teams to support service expansion
    • Use learnings from initial sites to inform future launches and private service development

    Experience Required

    Essential

    • Senior operational leadership experience in healthcare, mental health, or children’s services
    • Proven track record in service mobilisation, launch, or scaling operations
    • Strong people management experience across multidisciplinary teams
    • Experience with operational systems and digital platforms
    • Ability to work across multiple sites and engage directly with operational teams
    • Strong organisational, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills

    Desirable

    • Experience within children’s services or neurodevelopmental pathways (Autism/ADHD)
    • Experience working alongside clinical leadership
    • Knowledge of NHS or NHS-adjacent service delivery models
    • Experience scaling services or supporting multi-site growth
    • Exposure to private healthcare or mixed public/private models
