We are on the hunt for an enthusiastic and skilled Social Worker to join our dynamic Family Help Service based in Wandsworth. This is an exciting opportunity to work full-time within a supportive and dedicated team striving to make a real difference in the lives of families. You will be joining an esteemed local authority renowned for its positive working environment and commitment to the well-being of its staff and community.

Offering a competitive annual salary of £52,767, this role is perfectly suited for someone eager to further their career in social work within a vibrant and diverse community.

Perks and benefits: In return for your dedication, we offer flexible working arrangements designed to enhance your work-life balance. You will enjoy a generous holiday allowance of 31 days plus bank holidays, helping you take the time to recharge. For those working directly with children and families, we provide parking and, during the current pandemic, we've waived parking charges for all frontline staff. Our comprehensive benefits package includes membership in the Local Government contributory pension scheme, childcare vouchers, and the possibility to join our new technology scheme. You can also access interest-free loans for annual travel cards and enjoy discounts at a variety of leisure activities, restaurants, and shops. To top it off, we provide vast opportunities for personal and professional development, ensuring your skills and career continue to grow.

    What you will do:

    • Conduct assessments and develop care plans to safeguard and promote the well-being of children and families
    • Work collaboratively with families, colleagues, and external agencies to ensure comprehensive support for service users
    • Provide direct support and interventions to families in need, utilizing a strengths-based approach
    • Maintain up-to-date records and prepare necessary documentation to support service delivery and case management
    • Participate in meetings and case reviews, contributing to strategic decision-making
    • Liaise effectively with Social Services teams and other professionals involved in care and protection

    Requirements for the role:

    • A degree or equivalent qualification in social work
    • Current registration with Social Work England
    • Considerable frontline experience within Social Services as a Qualified Social Worker

Living and working in Wandsworth offers a unique blend of urban and suburban life, with a rich cultural scene, beautiful parks, and excellent transport links.
