    What you will do:

    - Manage cases of high sensitivity or complexity, providing specialist advice and professional consultation

    - Recommend needs-led assessments and interventions, adhering to strict criteria and policy

    - Deliver efficient and cost-effective assessment, intervention, and therapeutic services to young people and their families, ensuring professional assessment of needs

    - Gather, investigate, evaluate and analyse all necessary information on assigned cases, ensuring clarity, reliability, and realistic action plans

    - Develop practices that take a holistic view of the individual, considering their immediate and extended social circles

    - Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and council policies and procedures in all case management

    - Maintain high professional standards during investigations, enquiries, and assessments, ensuring comprehensive care planning and record maintenance

    - Identify service enhancements and support a culture of continuous improvement

    - Prepare and submit written reports, including statements and care plans for care proceedings in family, county, and high courts

    - Act as Duty Worker when needed, responding to queries and issues on cases managed by the team

    - Support and develop a range of evidence-based preventative services aimed at allowing children to be looked after in their birth families

    - Deputise for the Service Manager in their absence, including supervising the contact function of the service


    Requirements of this Advanced Practitioner role:

    - SWE Registered

    - A Social Work Qualification or equivalent

    - Understanding of relevant legislation

    - Registered or eligible for registration
