Electrical Wireman HV Switchgear – UK Wide - £50k to £55k
Join a specialist HV engineering team working on critical UK infrastructure.
We’re recruiting on behalf of a growing high-voltage engineering specialist delivering installation and maintenance of HV switchgear on substation and electrical infrastructure projects across the UK.
Due to continued growth, they’re looking for Electrical Wireman with HV switchgear experience to join their mobile field team.

The Role
- Hands on experience with the main OEM's HV switchgear (typically 11kV–33kV+)
- Site-based work on substations and HV assets across the UK
- New assets and projects regularly — varied work
- Assignments shared 1 week in advance
- Testing equipment and laptop provided
- Company vehicle provided
- Hotels booked and paid in advance
- Overtime available
This role suits someone who enjoys practical field work and a changing work environment.
What We’re Looking For
- Electrical Wireman experience on HV switchgear
- Experience working with major OEM switchgear (e.g. Siemens, ABB, Schneider or similar)
- 1–5 years’ HV or substation experience ideal
- Comfortable travelling to sites across the UK
- Strong safety-first mindset
- Full UK driving licence
Working Hours
- Monday–Thursday: 08:00–16:30
- Friday: 08:00–13:30
- Overtime available
