Auditor – FMCG Supplier & Food Manufacturing
Are you an Auditor with experience in food manufacturing, FMCG, or retail supplier environments looking for your next challenge?
Please note: This role requires experience within food or FMCG manufacturing. Applications from other sectors will not be considered.
Our client works across food, hardlines, and textiles, partnering with major retailers to deliver private-label and branded products across the UK and Europe. This role offers excellent variety and the opportunity to directly influence supplier standards and performance.
The Role
You will work closely with UK and EU manufacturing suppliers to ensure compliance with retailer standards, food safety requirements, and technical expectations.
Key responsibilities include:
- Onboarding new manufacturing suppliers (gap analysis, risk assessments, non-conformances)
- Supporting suppliers with audits and retailer inspection readiness
- Managing audit schedules and corrective action plans (CAPA)
- Driving technical, ethical, and food safety compliance improvements
- Supporting customers during site visits and resolving audit issues
What We’re Looking For
Essential
- Auditor experience within food manufacturing, FMCG, or retail supplier environments
- Knowledge of UK retailer standards / supplier compliance
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Willingness to travel across the UK and Europe (approx. One week per month)
Desirable
- Lead Auditor qualification
- Food Safety Level 3
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys autonomy, travel, and building strong supplier relationships across multiple product categories.
Not suitable for financial auditors or non-manufacturing sectors.
