Role Summary
We are recruiting for Regulation 44 Visitors / Reg 44 to deliver independent visits and written reports across children’s homes in England.
This is a contract-based role offering ongoing, regionally varied assignments. The focus is on clear professional judgement, strong written reporting, and practical quality assurance insight.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver Regulation 44 visits in line with statutory requirements
- Produce clear, high-quality written reports suitable for governance and senior oversight
- Identify themes, risks, and emerging concerns across services
- Highlight practical improvement actions and areas of good practice
- Engage professionally with providers and senior stakeholders
- Support wider quality assurance or inspection readiness activity where required
Essential Requirements
- Proven experience delivering Regulation 44 visits,
- or a strong equivalent background in children’s residential QA, inspection, or governance
- Excellent written reporting skills and attention to evidence
- Sound professional judgement and calm, credible stakeholder approach
- Ability to work independently across assigned regions
