    Job Title : Associate Specialist Grade – General Adult Psychiatrist

    Location : Atrom Mindcare, Epping, Essex - Predominantly on-site with a small number of pre-planned remote sessions

    Contract : Full-time or Part-time (flexible working considered)

    Reporting To: Clinical/Medical Director

    Role Overview

    We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Associate Specialist Grade General Adult Psychiatrist to join our growing service. The post-holder will work primarily on-site and contribute to both NHS and private services, with opportunities to develop specialist skills in neurodevelopmental psychiatry and interventional treatments.


    Key Responsibilities


    Clinical Duties

    Conduct Adult ADHD assessments for NHS patients referred via the Right to Choose (RTC) pathway

    o  Prescribe and manage medication for ADHD under the titration pathway, where clinically indicated

    o  Undertake Adult ASD diagnostic assessments in line with recognised standards

    o  Deliver Deep rTMS (repetitive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation) using BrainsWay technology for private patients with:

    o  Treatment-resistant depression

    o  Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD)

    o  Provide high-quality, patient-centred psychiatric care in line with GMC and Royal College of Psychiatrists guidance


    Multidisciplinary & Professional Responsibilities

    o  Participate in MDT meetings, case discussions and service development

    o  Engage in clinical supervision, annual appraisals, and revalidation processes

    o  Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation (with administrative burden minimised through Heidi AI)

    o  Contribute to a culture of learning, quality improvement and clinical governance


    Training & Support

    o  Full training provided in Deep rTMS and BrainsWay technology

    o  Access to clinical supervision, peer support, and structured appraisal

    o  Support for professional development within a designated body framework


    Person Specification

    o  Essential

    § GMC registration with licence to practise

    § Experience working in General Adult Psychiatry

    § Competence in psychiatric assessment, diagnosis and medication management

    § Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team

    § Commitment to high standards of clinical care and patient safety

    o  Desirable

    § Experience in Adult ADHD and/or ASD assessments

    § Experience prescribing ADHD medications

    § Interest in interventional psychiatry or neuromodulation treatments

    § Section 12 approval (or willingness to obtain)
