Our client delivers advanced logistics automation solutions for both food and non-food warehouses, including chilled and cold-storage environments. You must therefore be willing and able to work in cooler conditions when required.
Your role
As a Maintenance Mechanic, you are responsible for keeping automated logistics systems and machinery operating at optimal performance. You will work in a modern distribution environment where automation, reliability, and safety are key.
Your responsibilities
- Performing preventive and corrective maintenance on automated and mechanical systems
- Diagnosing and resolving mechanical issues and basic electrical faults (with support from senior technicians when needed)
- Assisting with the installation, testing, and commissioning of new machinery and automation equipment
- Reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and manuals
- Collaborating closely with technical, engineering, and logistics teams
- Participating in an on-call/standby rotation (with additional compensation)
- Working in ambient, chilled, and cold warehouse environments when required
What you bring
- A technical background through education or experience in mechanical engineering, automotive technology, mechatronics, electrical engineering, or a similar field
- Strong interest in logistics automation and high-tech systems
- A hands-on, solution-oriented mindset and eagerness to learn
- Basic electrical knowledge is an advantage
- Good command of the English language; Dutch at B1 level or higher is a plus
- Willingness to work in cold or refrigerated environments
