BMW Financial Services is a leading provider of business mobility solutions and part of the Financial Services Sector of BMW Group. A significant part of the BMW Financial Services IT department is located in Breda from where IT Services are developed and provided for the European markets. High customer satisfaction, agile delivery and robust IT solutions are very relevant for the BMW Group. In this role you will be working in an international team of highly qualified staff. BMW Financial Services is in the process of replacing its core applications with Service Oriented Architecture using an Agile way of working and a DevOps approach. This new IT architecture is based on IT artifacts such as business processes and workflow, business rules, micro services, CDaaS and plain Java code. Integrated with best breed standard solutions like for example Salesforce or SAP.
Role Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented QA Specialist with strong expertise in Salesforce applications. The QA Specialist will collaborate with development and business teams to ensure high-quality Salesforce releases through comprehensive functional testing and robust test automation. This role also plays a key part in User Acceptance Testing (UAT), coordinating directly with end users and preparing acceptance test plans to validate that solutions meet business needs.
Key Responsibilities

• Functional Testing: Design and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for Salesforce applications to ensure alignment with business requirements and workflows.
• Automation Testing: Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts to improve testing efficiency and support continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
• User Acceptance Testing (UAT) Coordination: Work closely with end users to coordinate and facilitate UAT cycles, gathering feedback and ensuring all requirements are validated through testing.
• UAT Test Planning: Prepare detailed UAT test plans and test cases in collaboration with business stakeholders to cover acceptance criteria and use-case scenarios.
• Tester Onboarding & Guidance: Provide training, guidance, and documentation for UAT testers to help them understand testing processes, tools, and best practices.
• Defect Management: Log, prioritize, and track defects found during testing, and work with development teams to ensure timely resolution.
• Collaboration: Collaborate with developers, product owners, and business analysts to clarify requirements, review designs, and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
• Documentation: Document test cases, test results, and QA processes clearly and concisely for auditability and knowledge sharing.
• Continuous Improvement: Recommend process improvements, testing techniques, and tools to enhance the overall quality assurance practice within the team and the BMW Test Community.
Functie-eisen:
Hands-on experience testing Salesforce CRM solutions
English is a must
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience) or equivalent working experience
UAT Experience: Experience coordinating and conducting User Acceptance Testing, including preparing UAT documentation and working with non-technical end users.
Test Planning & Execution: Proven experience writing detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts for functional and integration testing.
Defect Management: Log, prioritize, and track defects found during testing, and work with development teams to ensure timely resolution.
Wensen:
Knowledge/Experience within Test automation is a plus
Dutch is a plus
Preferably certified ISEB/ISTQB Advanced Test Analyst or TMap NEXT Test Engineer
Test Automation Expertise: Strong proficiency in test automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, TestNG, Junit, Typescript, GitHub) and experience scripting automated tests.
Team Collaboration & Tools: Ability to work effectively in cross-functional Agile teams, with experience using tools like Jira, Confluence and X-ray.
