As a parcel courier at DHL Express in Nieuw-Vennep, you start your shift at the depot where you greet your colleagues, grab a coffee and load your van. In DHL workwear you head out on your route in the Haarlemmermeer region. With your scanner and navigation system you follow a clear route, make short friendly stops at homes and businesses, and keep your administration up to date. At the end of your shift you return to the depot, hand in your scanner, have a quick chat with the planner and colleagues, and you are ready to go home or to your study or family commitments.
Your tasks:
- You drive your DHL van safely through your region and deliver parcels on time to private and business customers.
- You load and unload your van carefully and check your parcels so your route starts and ends in an organised way.
- You use navigation and DHL systems to plan and follow your route and adjust when traffic or volume changes.
- You greet customers in a friendly way, answer short questions and make sure every delivery feels professional.
- You scan parcels, collect signatures and keep your digital administration accurate throughout your shift.

- Hourly wage: €16.60 to €20.75 per hour, depending on experience
- Weekly or four-weekly salary payment, whichever suits you best
- Flexible working hours: 24 to 40 hours per week
- Holiday allowance: 8% accrued on your earned salary
- Travel allowance: €0.23 per kilometer, up to 40 km one way travel.
You enjoy being on the road, helping customers and taking responsibility for your own route and results.
- Valid B driving licence, at least 1 year of experience
- Being able to drive a van is a plus.
- Available 24–40 hours, at least three days weekly
- Living near Nieuw-Vennep and own transport to depot
- MBO 4 level, can work with scanning systems
