We are seeking an experienced Head of Compliance to lead product compliance and sustainability activities within an international entertainment technology business.
The role combines compliance leadership, regulatory expertise, technical product knowledge, and hands‑on operational management, with responsibility for ensuring products meet applicable EU regulatory requirements before going to market.
What You’ll DoLead a compact team of compliance specialists and establish priorities, structure, and processes.
Ensure products comply with CE, Machinery Directive, EMC, LVD, RED, RoHS, REACH, and PoP requirements.
Assess products, packaging, labels, and manuals for compliance, language, and completeness.
Identify products requiring additional compliance attention and manage escalations.
Review reports and certificates and ensure the correct documentation is published.
Collaborate on technical files and gather and validate technical information with product teams and experts.
Monitor regulatory developments and develop plans to implement new legislation.
Advise Product Managers and management on compliance matters, regulatory changes, and legal requirements.
Develop and implement compliance policies, processes, and knowledge-management practices.
Work with purchasing and supply chain teams to integrate product compliance into the wider process.
Support internal and external stakeholders with compliance and regulatory questions.
Apply a risk-based approach that balances regulatory requirements with commercial and product‑development needs.
Create compliance documentation and policies and resolve complex compliance matters.
Proven experience leading a team of compliance specialists.
Minimum 3 years in a similar compliance role.
Subject matter expertise in product compliance, including CE, Machinery Directive, EMC, LVD, RED, RoHS, REACH, and PoP.
Experience bringing entertainment technology or related products to market under relevant EU compliance legislation.
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in compliance, law, or a technical field.
Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret complex documents.
Ability to connect technical and legal information.
Strong leadership and stakeholder-management skills.
Affinity with technology and products in the entertainment, audio, and/or lighting industry.
Strong English communication skills and ability to communicate in Dutch or German.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
