In addition to managing large-scale one-off projects, PM Group provides Managed Services for capital projects to a growing number of clients. Our site-based Managed Service teams across the Benelux provide a cost-efficient and effective framework for project delivery. We deliver projects ranging in capital value from €100k to €15M through all stages of the project lifecycle, from concept development through to handover. Our portfolios include buildings, cleanrooms, utilities, process installations, regulatory upgrades and equipment replacements.
At present, we are seeking a Managed Services Site Lead to lead the PM Group team delivering a portfolio of projects at a client site in Belgium. Reporting directly to the Head of Managed Services Benelux, the Site Lead will provide leadership and direction to a multidisciplinary team comprising commercial, project controls, quality, safety, project management and construction management professionals.
The Site Lead will act as PM Group's senior representative on site and will be accountable for the safe, effective and commercially successful delivery of the client project portfolio, ensuring alignment with both client objectives and PM Group business goals.
Responsibilities
- Act as PM Group's primary point of contact with the client's Capital Projects Lead and key stakeholders, developing trusted relationships and ensuring a high level of client satisfaction across the portfolio.
- Lead and motivate the PM Group team to safely deliver the project portfolio while meeting agreed KPI's for safety, quality, cost, schedule and client satisfaction.
- Provide day-to-day leadership, coaching and performance management to the site-based Managed Services team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability and continuous improvement.
- Proactively manage the size, structure and mix of expertise within the team to match portfolio requirements and coordinate with PM Group Department Managers regarding current and future resource needs.
- Assign team members to projects within the portfolio, liaising with Department Managers for additional support and specialist resources as required.
- Ensure project scopes are developed with input from all relevant stakeholders and aligned with client business objectives.
- Ensure compliance with applicable client and PM Group quality, technical and governance procedures to maintain GMP and regulatory compliance.
- Ensure effective implementation of change management processes in conjunction with project controls and commercial functions.
- Own overall portfolio performance, ensuring projects are delivered in accordance with approved scope, budget, schedule and quality requirements.
- Maintain the Portfolio Tracker, Resource Tracker and other portfolio management tools in an accurate and timely manner.
- Monitor portfolio financial performance, including forecasting, resource utilisation, revenue delivery, project profitability and risk exposure.
- Ensure timely project close-out, including capture of lessons learned, project metrics and knowledge transfer.
- Implement health and safety initiatives and ensure full compliance with all relevant client and PM Group safety requirements.
- Prepare and present weekly, monthly and quarterly portfolio performance reports to client and PM Group leadership.
- Attend key governance, steering committee and management meetings as required.
- Identify and escalate portfolio risks, resource constraints and significant commercial issues to the Head of Managed Services in a timely manner.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reporting, project execution and overall service delivery performance.
- Highlight actual performance against KPI's, identify trends and implement corrective actions where required.
- Coordinate team training and competency development to ensure adherence to both client and PM Group requirements.
- Support the Head of Managed Services in the implementation of business strategy, operational excellence initiatives and long-term client account development.
- Identify opportunities to expand PM Group services within the client organisation and support business growth initiatives where appropriate.
- Seek to realise efficiencies and best practices across all aspects of project delivery.
Qualifications
- Degree qualification in Engineering, Science or a related discipline.
- Minimum 10 years' experience in project engineering, project management or programme management within a GMP-regulated environment.
- Demonstrated experience leading multidisciplinary teams and managing portfolios of capital projects.
- Experience in pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical, life sciences or process industry environments is preferred.
- Previous leadership, line management or site management experience is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, project controls, risk management and change management processes.
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders while maintaining strong client relationships and representing PM Group's interests professionally.
- Commercial and financial awareness, including experience monitoring project cost, forecasting and resource utilisation.
- Experience working within a consultancy or managed services environment would be advantageous.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and influencing skills.
- Good knowledge of English, Dutch and French.
