We are looking for an AI Technician (Assembly & Integration) for Airbus Defence and Space Netherlands in Leiden. In this role, you will be responsible for the assembly and integration of high-tech aerospace hardware in accordance with detailed work instructions and quality standards. You will work in a multidisciplinary team and contribute to the successful production of advanced space systems. The position requires a hands-on mentality, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to quality. You will report to the Team Leader Assembly & Integration.

Key responsibilities
•
• Assemble and integrate aerospace hardware according to technical work instructions and quality procedures.
• Perform mechanical assembly activities with a high level of precision and accuracy.
• Use digital work instructions and production systems via tablets and other computer-based applications.
• Carry out inspections and ensure all work meets the required aerospace quality standards.
• Identify and report technical deviations and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Work closely with fellow Assembly & Integration Technicians, engineers and the Team Leader to achieve project milestones.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment in accordance with company procedures.
• Support testing and integration activities where required.

Requirements
•
• MBO degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Aerospace Engineering or a related technical field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an assembly or production environment.
• Experience within the aerospace industry or a comparable high-tech manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Basic computer skills and experience working with digital production systems or tablets.
• Good command of both Dutch and English, spoken and written.
• Available 40 hours per week and willing to work fully on-site in Leiden.
