As a Logistics Employee at the flower auction in Aalsmeer, you are a vital link in the fast-paced world of international horticulture. You ensure that fresh flowers are distributed, packed, and prepared for shipment safely and right on schedule. Your day starts early at 07:30 AM, working alongside a close-knit, energetic team in a dynamic environment where no two days are the same. Together, you keep the flower flows moving accurately so customers worldwide receive their products at peak freshness!
Responsibilities
- Distribution & Transport: Efficiently sorting and moving shipments using internal transport systems such as auction carts and trolleys.
- Packing & Loading: Safely and carefully packing flowers according to specific guidelines and loading/unloading transport trucks.
- Quality & Accuracy Checks: Inspecting shipments for correct quantities, damages, and quality standards, reporting any discrepancies directly to your team leader.
- Scanning & Admin: Carrying out light administrative tasks, such as scanning barcode labels to register shipments.
- Teamwork & Safety: Collaborating closely with your colleagues to maintain a smooth logistics process and keeping your workspace safe and tidy.
- Available to work a minimum of 32 hours per week
- Comfortable with early morning starts (07:30 AM) and flexible finishing times
- Good command of either English or Dutch
- Physically fit and enjoy active, hands-on work
- Responsible, accurate, and quality-minded—even under time pressure
- Logistics experience is a plus, but a motivated and proactive attitude is most important!
- Possess own transportation (car, bike, or scooter) or live close to Aalsmeer, as public transport options may be limited during early shifts
- Working via Staffice at a reputable, stable client in the flower industry
- A competitive salary of €16.25 gross per hour
