We are looking for a Product Owner to lead the SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central platform within our People Platform. You will play a key role in shaping the roadmap, governance, and evolution of our core HR systems, ensuring secure, compliant, and seamless master data management across the employee lifecycle.

We believe you bring

  • Strong understanding of HR business processes, co-worker Lifecyle, Hire to Retire processes, and SAP leading practices.
  • Experience working with SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central platforms and AI – Joule
  • Understanding employee lifecycle management, hire to retire processes, Employee Data structure, global template, Role based permission and security model, data privacy, compliance and Audit governance.
  • Strong knowledge of employee data lifecycle management, including hires, job changes, transfers, global assignments, and offboarding.
  • Experience managing integrations between SuccessFactors EC and enterprise systems (Data hubs, Payroll, Identity systems, Finance) using APIs, SAP BTP, Data hubs or middleware.
  • Proven experience owning and communicating a product roadmap, balancing business priorities, technical debt, and platform evolution.
  • Ability to collaborate across engineering, architecture, HR Process owners, security, and external vendors.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • 5–8 years of experience in Product Ownership of HR Technology with SAP SuccessFactors implementations.

This is our wish list

The must-haves we see for this role are:

  • Strong understanding of Employee Central for SAP SuccessFactors, including the design and governance of corporate and country-specific data models, Foundation Objects (FO), Metadata Framework (MDF), position management, business rules, workflows, Role based permissions and employee data lifecycle management, along with a solid understanding of HR processes and SAP SuccessFactors.
  • Experience with SAP SuccessFactors platform and strong expertise in Employee Central module and its integration with enterprise systems such as ADP Payroll, Identity Management, Data hubs other systems using APIs, GCP, SAP BTP/CPI, or middleware platforms.
  • Proven product ownership experience managing enterprise applications, defining product roadmaps, prioritizing business requirements, and driving platform enhancements.
  • Strong understanding of employee lifecycle processes (hire, job changes, transfers, global assignments, offboarding) and their configuration and governance within Employee Central, including workflows, approvals, and data management.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, prioritization, and cross-functional collaboration skills, with the ability to bridge business, engineering, and vendor teams.
  • Good understanding of enterprise integrations, APIs, data governance, security models, compliance, audit requirements, and privacy regulations within HR systems.
  • Knowledge of People Analytics, reporting, data migration, data quality frameworks, and SAP SuccessFactors core modules (Employee Central, Platform, RBP, Talent, Recruiting, Onboarding etc) and their integrations will be considered a strong advantage.

A day in your life with us

As Product Owner for SAP SuccessFactors (EC), you will own the strategic direction of the platform and ensure it continues to deliver value to HR, business users, and employees globally.

You will work closely with Engineering, Enterprise Architecture, Security, HR Product teams, HR Process Owners and external vendors to continuously improve the platform while maintaining stability, compliance, and operational excellence.

This means you will:

  • Work and communicate the product roadmap for SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central and SAP SuccessFactors Platform.
  • Prioritize business requirements, platform enhancements, and operational stability in accordance with business needs.
  • Collaborate with Engineering teams to define and deliver scalable business solutions.
  • Partner with HR and Product teams to translate business requirements into application capabilities.
  • Ensure secure, compliant, and efficient employee data management across the entire employee lifecycle.
  • Drive continuous improvements in core HR processes, workflows, automation, and user experience
  • Support SAP Half Yearly releases, Upgrades and transformation initiatives affecting the platform.
  • Monitor platform health, operational KPIs, service quality, and user satisfaction

You will work within the Group Function Digital Area supporting People & Culture platforms across IKEA's global organization.

Our team is responsible for delivering a world-class HR platform build on SAP SuccessFactors, enabling secure, compliant, and efficient management of employee master data and organization data throughout the employee lifecycle.

We work closely with HR Product teams, Engineering, Security, Enterprise Architecture, Service Delivery, HR Process Owners and external technology partners to ensure the platform remains reliable, scalable, and aligned with business priorities.
