Event Management Internship Amsterdam HBO/WO | Flagship Events

What will you do?

As an Event Management Intern, you will have the opportunity to gain experience in sales, marketing, and event management. You will be involved in the entire process of an event, from the first client contact to the execution and evaluation afterwards. You will support the development of event proposals, think along about suitable concepts, and help ensure everything is well organised.

In addition, you will be in contact with clients, suppliers, and partners and assist in the execution of events. You will follow up on incoming requests, think about commercial opportunities, and support the creation of content and campaigns to promote our events. You will work closely with an experienced colleague who will guide you throughout your internship. This gives you a lot of responsibility, helps you learn quickly, and provides a clear understanding of how commercial events are organised in practice.
What will you learn?

• Organising events from request to execution;
• Advising clients about the different events and activities we offer;
• Maintaining contact with clients, suppliers, and venues;
• Supporting the execution of events;
• Taking photos and videos during events;
• Thinking along about new ways to sell events;
• Collecting and processing customer feedback;
• Contributing ideas for future improvements.

Practical information:

• Start date: September 2026 (earlier start can be discussed);
• Duration: minimum 5 months;
• Type of internship: working internship;
• Internship allowance: €500 per month;
• Location: office in the city centre of Amsterdam.

Requirements:

• You are enrolled in a vocational (MBO), higher professional (HBO), or university (WO) program in Event Management, Hospitality Management, Sales, or a related field;
• You are available from September 2026 (or earlier);
• You are looking for a working internship of at least 5 months;
• You have a good command of the English language, both written and spoken.
