The Samenspraak Foundation is looking for a chairman (2 hours a week) with a passion for connecting, collaborating, listening and combating discrimination.
What does the Foundation do:We are Samenspraak: a group of enthusiastic volunteers who want to bring people from Apeldoorn closer together.
Stichting Samenspraak Apeldoorn contributes to understanding the differences between the various people from Apeldoorn. We do this by promoting “dialogue” in Apeldoorn between people of different origins, beliefs, culture, backgrounds, appearance and level. Because you listen to the other person and to his or her dreams and because the other person also listens to you, you gain experiences that can stay with you for the rest of your life.
We are nearby and organize events where people from Apeldoorn can enter into a dialogue with each other. To this end, Dialogue Apeldoorners trains discussion counselors who guide the discussions according to the Dialogue Method.
As the Samenspraak foundation, we also take the initiative ourselves to organize the conversations, so that people from different backgrounds can come together in different places in Apeldoorn.
The Samenspraak Foundation is an initiative of Apeldoorners. Important core values are equality, quality, appreciation, connection, diversity, inclusiveness and cooperation.
What does the board do:The board of Stichting Samenspraak Apeldoorn is responsible for the management of the foundation. These are tasks such as applying for and justifying the subsidy (management of finances), elaborating and checking the functioning of the project office (management of personnel) and monitoring and encouraging the volunteers to achieve the objectives of the foundation with their efforts.
What does the chairman do:- Prepare substantive board meetings.
- Lead meetings and ensure proactive decision-making.
- Maintain contact with the municipality and account for the activities of the organization.
- Represent the organization.
- Keeping abreast of social developments and developments in the field of (municipal) policy and governance, and informing the board of this.
- Seek advice from experts on, for example, municipal policy.
- Evaluate the functioning of the organisation, board and board members on the basis of policy plan, work plan and budget.
- Conduct performance interviews with the coordinator of the foundation.
- Consensus thinker who can decide
- Insight into social and cultural issues
- Knowledge of and affinity with the organization
