The HR Division Director will be globally responsible for working with the Special Vehicles Division to identify opportunities to increase organizational effectiveness and productivity through its people processes.

Job Purpose & Aims

The role will be responsible for developing and executing HR strategies, human capital plans and activities directly relevant to the Special Vehicles organization. Additionally, it will be responsible for driving Group HR globally led initiatives, implementing and communicating them into the Division.

Location & Reporting
  • This position is based in our Netherlands offices – Benschop.
  • You will report to the CEO of Terberg Special Vehicles and a dotted line to the HR Director RTG.
  • The role is full-time, has a hybrid-working structure and requires 1-2 primarily business travels per quarter.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
  • Drive and lead all people-related initiatives in the Special Vehicles organization in close collaboration with the Division Board, MDs and Global Group HR. Actively work with the Division Board to ensure important people topics are prioritized.
  • Act as a strategic business partner to the Division Board, supporting its members in analysing, devising, and executing a wide range of activities spanning the entire HR spectrum (e.g. Talent acquisition, CSRD, employee engagement, organizational design, internal mobility, development, leadership, cost control, compensation & benefits).
  • Collaborate with Group HR Director and Group HR Centre of Excellence to co-design and roll out global people initiatives to the Special Vehicles organisation.
  • Support and promote Terberg’s annual recurring people processes (e.g. Future employee engagement survey, CSRD, performance review, salary review) in Special Vehicles.
  • Work actively with building and promoting a positive and productive work culture, firmly footed in our company values and Growth strategy.
  • Take an active role in developing and activating Terberg’s employer brand together with the Group HR.
  • Together with Group HR, continuously develop ways-of-working and toolkits to ensure a best-in-class HR support to the organization.
  • Actively participate in building relationships with, and ensuring high service levels from, key external partners.
  • Actively support and work with the wider Group HR organization to build a happy, healthy, and productive work environment.
  • Additional Focus of Role: Member of the Management Board Terberg Special Vehicles and Global HR Division Forum.
Your Profile
  • +10 years of relevant experience leading people in different countries.
  • Strong understanding of the HR subject matter and how to effectively run and optimize people processes.
  • Personally managed a department, division, or company, can connect with people, and understands what motivates them.
  • A broad knowledge and working experience in the specialized areas of HR (Organizational, Development, Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, Leadership Development, Learning & Development, Comp. & Ben).
  • Experience working in a matrix organization with geographically and culturally diverse/dispersed stakeholders.
  • Strong business acumen and a solid understanding of how a P&L works.
  • Hands‑on experience in working with recruiting and employer branding.
  • Proficiency in working in a consultative manner.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to effectively communicate with co‑workers at all levels of the organization.
  • Experienced in working with senior leaders.
Language Skills
  • Fluent in written and spoken Dutch and English; other European language desirable.
