The Commis de Cuisine assists in the preparation, production, and presentation of dishes for Ottolenghi. The Commis de Cuisine reports directly to the Chef de Cuisine.
As a Commis de Cuisine, you will be responsible for:- Assisting in the preparation and presentation of high-quality dishes in accordance with Mandarin Oriental standards;
- Ensuring all mise en place is ready for service;
- Maintaining cleanliness and organisation in all kitchen areas;
- Supporting senior chefs in day-to-day operations and learning new culinary techniques;
- Complying with all hygiene, safety, and sanitation standards.
- Previous kitchen experience in a luxury hotel or fine dining environment preferred.
- A passion for culinary arts and attention to detail.
- Team spirit, curiosity, and a desire to learn and grow.
- Good knowledge of English language (written and spoken);
- Familiar with Hygiene code and HACCP regulations;
- Good communication skills and a flexible attitude.
