Junior Scientist

MIMETAS is looking for a full-time Junior Scientist, to join our Model Development team inLeiden, the Netherlands.You willbe responsible forthedevelopment oforgan-on-a-chip-basedtissue-anddiseasemodels.Youwilloperatewithin a team of scientistsand regularly reporttointernalstakeholdersand customers.

• Development and implementation of novelorgan- and diseasemodels (e.g.,liver, central nervous system, andtumors);
• Model validation (e.g.by performingcompoundchallenges, immunoassays,usingstate-of-the artcell-basedand molecularassays);
• Plan and execute experimentsindependently;
• Report on a regular basis to internalstakeholders;
• Write standard operatingprocedures;
• Contribute to general lab duties.

• You want to work in the labin multi-disciplinary teams to tackle toughtissue modelingproblems;
• Youhave amaster's degree with max 2 years of work experience, orbachelor'swith relevant work experience, in biology, pharmaceutical sciences, life science technology, or arelated field;
• Youareexperienced in tissue culture,(confocal) microscopy and image analysissoftware;
• You have experience with(live)cell-basedassays and molecular analysistechniques;
• Your work is of highquality,you work accuratelyandsafely;
• Youarea motivated, flexible,and positiveteamplayer;
• You have excellent communication skills in English.
