Senior Demand Planner – Location: Eindhoven, Netherlands. Hybrid working model. Role within EMEALA (Europe, Middle East, Africa, Latin America) in the Commercial Operations EMEALA organization.
Role OverviewLead regional demand planning and forecasting activities to support both internal and external customers across a diverse and evolving product portfolio. Serve as the integration point between Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Supply Chain, ensuring a clear, consensus‑driven demand signal that enables effective decision‑making and drives operational excellence.
Responsibilities- Develop operational and revenue demand forecasts at multiple levels of aggregation across the EMEALA region and across multiple planning horizons.
- Create, maintain, and continuously improve forecast models using SAP Demand Planning and other demand‑management tools.
- Analyze historical sales trends, research demand drivers, and interpret statistical baseline forecasts, enriching them with market and customer intelligence.
- Coordinate cross‑functional analysis to investigate significant variances and update forecasts based on sales, marketing, and financial assumptions.
- Collaborate closely with Sales, Marketing, and Customer Finance to understand and align on key demand drivers and risks.
- Partner with Supply Chain and New Product Development teams to highlight growth opportunities, capacity constraints, and product lifecycle impacts.
- Lead the regional consensus demand‑planning process, facilitating stakeholder meetings to finalize forecasts with transparency and shared ownership.
- Support supply planning by providing clear demand inputs, inventory strategy recommendations, and insights on new product introductions and phase‑outs.
- Communicate customer action plans and demand changes clearly and proactively to supply‑planning partners.
- Design, develop, and maintain demand‑planning databases, reports, and performance metrics to track forecast accuracy and S&OP effectiveness.
- Drive continuous‑improvement initiatives that strengthen demand‑planning capability, governance, and cross‑functional collaboration.
- Experienced demand‑planning professional with a strong track record managing complex forecasts across multiple product lines and time horizons.
- Solid knowledge of demand‑planning systems and methodologies, ideally within life sciences, medical devices, or high‑tech environments.
- Comfortable working with SAP or similar tools and other demand‑management technologies.
- Strong analytical capability, attention to detail, and clear communication skills.
- Proven ability to facilitate demand reviews and consensus meetings in cross‑functional settings.
- Ability to balance commercial ambition with supply realities and challenge assumptions constructively.
- Experience in leading regional consensus‑planning processes and driving continuous improvement.
