The organization seeks a volunteer who can dedicate one hour per week to help an auxiliary grower with counting and basic arithmetic. Responsibilities- Assist the auxiliary grower with counting and basic calculations.
- Create and follow a structured lesson plan suitable for the grower’s learning level.
- Offer support with reading activities, if appropriate.
- Participate in general nursery tasks such as watering plants, removing weeds, labeling pots, and maintaining the garden area.
- Commit to at least one hour per week, preferably on Monday, Tuesday, or Friday.
- Have patience and a willingness to work with individuals with mental disabilities.
- Possess basic math knowledge and the ability to explain concepts simply.
- Be comfortable with outdoor tasks at the tree nursery, greenhouse, shed, or sales garden.
The volunteer position is available immediately and involves working alongside the team during ongoing nursery operations.
