Chief Marketing Officer (CMO)

Building on our €1,000,000 pre‑seed investment from our investors in the Netherlands, Germany, and Türkiye, we are assembling a world‑class leadership team to create the most successful startup Europe has seen in the manufacturing industry. We are now hiring the person who will define how the world sees Rototip.

With its unique business model, Europe's fastest‑growing industrial sourcing platform & manufacturing marketplace rototip.com is hiring a Chief Marketing Officer to lead all marketing efforts and build a brand that becomes synonymous with fast, reliable, and intelligent manufacturing.

The Role

As CMO, you will own the full marketing function: brand, demand generation, content, product marketing, and growth. We have a Senior Marketing Specialist on board and you will scale the team as the business grows. You will set the marketing strategy, run the campaigns, and be accountable for the pipeline you hand to Sales. This role reports directly to the CEO.

Qualifications

Must-have:

  • Proven B2B marketing leadership: Track record of owning a marketing function—ideally at a startup or scale‑up—throughout strategy and execution.
  • Demand generation expertise: Deep hands‑on experience across the full funnel—SEO/SEM, paid social (LinkedIn, Google), email, and outbound content—with a bias toward what drives MQLs and revenue.
  • Performance marketing fluency: You speak CAC, ROAS, conversion rates, and cost‑per‑acquisition natively. You make budget decisions based on data, not instinct alone.
  • HubSpot mastery: Solid command of HubSpot CRM and marketing automation. You can build, measure, and improve a lead‑nurturing engine without outside help.
  • Near‑native English: This is a global role serving customers across Europe and North America. Written and verbal communication must be excellent.
  • Startup DNA: You are comfortable doing things yourself. At seed stage, the CMO is also the campaign manager, the copywriter, and the analyst when needed. No hand‑holding; high ownership.
  • Cross‑functional collaboration: Ability to work tightly with Sales, Product, and Customer Success to align messaging, share pipeline intelligence, and close the feedback loop.

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience marketing a marketplace or an industrial sourcing platform.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing, engineering, or industrial B2B verticals—or a demonstrated ability to learn technical domains quickly.
  • Experience managing and mentoring junior marketers and scaling a marketing team almost from scratch.
  • Track record of managing €200k–€1M+ annual marketing budgets with strong ROI.
  • Experience with brand positioning and international go‑to‑market across multiple European markets.
  • Multilingual skills (Dutch, German, French, or Nordic languages are a plus).
  • Experience or strong interest in growth hacking and marketing automation (Apollo.io, Lemlist, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and similar).
  • Residency in the Netherlands.
What You’ll Do
  • Define and own the brand: Develop Rototip’s positioning, messaging, and visual identity to stand out in a competitive European market.
  • Build and run the demand engine: Design and execute multi‑channel campaigns (paid, organic, outbound, events) that generate a consistent, qualified pipeline for the sales team.
  • Lead and grow the marketing team: Directly manage the Senior Marketing Specialist; hire and develop additional team members as budget and growth allow.
  • Drive product marketing: Translate Rototip’s platform capabilities and manufacturing expertise into compelling content that resonates with engineering and procurement personas.
  • Own the marketing budget: Allocate and optimise spend across channels; report clearly on ROI and pipeline contribution to the CEO and investors.
  • Partner with Sales: Align on ICP definitions, MQL criteria, and content needs; ensure smooth handoffs and a tight marketing‑to‑sales feedback loop.
  • Track and report: Build dashboards that give the leadership team real‑time visibility into marketing performance, pipeline health, and channel efficiency.
  • Represent Rototip: Speak at industry events, build relationships with key media, and grow Rototip’s thought leadership in manufacturing and industrial tech.
