Postdoctoral Researcher in AI for Tabular and Temporal Data
We invite applications for a postdoctoral position in machine learning and deep learning, with particular interest in tabular data, time‑series modeling, and transfer learning. The researcher will contribute to the development of innovative data‑driven methods for complex real‑world problems, working at the intersection of methodological advances and applied research. The role includes conducting high‑quality research, publishing in top venues, collaborating with interdisciplinary partners, and supporting student supervision.
Candidates should have a PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Data Science, Statistics, or a closely related discipline, along with demonstrated expertise in machine learning and strong implementation skills.
Experience with EU projects or AI methods for quantum hardware calibration is considered an advantage, but is not required.
Responsibilities• Conduct high‑quality research in machine‑learning methods for tabular and temporal data. • Publish results in leading conferences and journals. • Collaborate with interdisciplinary partners and contribute to joint projects. • Support supervision and mentoring of graduate students and research assistants.
Qualifications- Doctoral degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field.
- Strong team player with leadership qualities.
- Expertise in machine learning and strong implementation skills.
- Experience or interest in EU projects or AI methods for quantum hardware calibration is an advantage.
- Duration of contract: 1 year (temporary).
- Workload: 38–40 hours per week.
- Salary and benefits in accordance with the Collective Labour Agreement for Dutch Universities.
