Your scope of work
As an intern within the Data & Analytics team, you will contribute to data-driven projects that directly support business performance in a fast-paced retail environment. You will gain hands-on experience working with large-scale datasets including customer behavior, sales trends and product performance. You will work closely with experienced professionals and learn how data drives strategy in a competitive market. Furthermore, you will:
- Gain experience with different tools, dashboards and reporting systems used in the retail industry
- Develop practical skills in data analysis, visualization and business insights generation
- Work in a collaborative and innovative team culture that encourages learning and growth
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve operational efficiency and customer experience
- Obtain a clear understanding of how data is used end-to-end in a modern retail business
- Focus on a project that aligns well with your background and interest, for example product return prediction, association rules/market basket analysis, Forecast & Replenishment dashboard improvements, and customer decision tree analysis

- You are currently enrolled in an HBO or University degree in Data Science, AI, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Econometrics, Business Analytics, or a related field
- You have strong analytical and communication skills
- You have a basic understanding of data principles, such as data types, development protocols, and version control
- You have basic knowledge of SQL and/or programming languages such as Python or R
- You are accurate, structured, and enjoy working with data
- You are curious and eager to explore data and uncover patterns
- You can communicate insights clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Experience with academic, personal, or bootcamp data projects is a plus
- Familiarity with version control tools such as Git is a plus
- You are fluent in English; Dutch is a plus
- You are available for at least 32 hours per week starting in September
