Alstom the Netherlands has approximately 450 employees and continues to grow. This growth is supported by a strong and professional Procurement organization. We are currently looking for a (Senior) Indirect Buyer to strengthen our team and support our Dutch operations. In this role, you will work closely with internal stakeholders and suppliers, ensuring cost efficiency, compliance, and continuity of supply.
Key Responsibilities
Procurement & Sourcing
- Manage end-to-end supplier selection and sourcing processes
- Prepare and issue Requests for Quotation (RFQs)
- Leadtenders, commercial negotiations and contract agreements
- Prepare Business Awards and secure supplier commitments
- Ensure compliance with Alstom Procurement processes and Code of Ethics
Stakeholder Management
- Act as procurement partner to internal business stakeholders
- Coordinate with multiple métiers and support operational teams
- Secure on-time delivery, quality, and service levels
- Resolve supplier and operational issues proactively
Commodity & Category Management
- Support and contribute to commodity and category strategies
- Consolidate demand and inputs across sites
- Support Commodity Managers during tender phases
- Represent the global & local commodities towards projects, platforms and solutions
- Build and maintain effective supplier relationships
- Monitor supplier performance, including CSR and EHS criteria
- Identify supply risks and implement mitigation actions
- Monitor supplier compliance and sustainability commitments
Candidate Profile / Requirements
- Master’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field
- Experience in Indirect Procurement / Indirect Purchasing (knowledge of Ariba, SAP is a plus)
- Fluency in English (written and spoken); Dutch language skills or willingness to learn
- Comfortable working with data: Excel, PowerPoint
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Analytical mindset and structured way of working
- Willingness to take initiative
- Experience in an international or matrix organization is a plus
