As a Reintegration Advisor you work in a team of specialists to ensure seamless coordination of long‑term and/or complex sickness absence cases. You function as the single point of contact for the manager and employee for (long‑term) sickness absence cases, and while you are responsible for ensuring compliance with both the Dutch Gatekeeper Act and the company’s internal policies, you add true value by advising and guiding your stakeholders on how to navigate the employee’s sick absence case.
In this role, you are also the single point of contact to the external Arbo services (e.g. Company Doctor, mediator, etc), where you bring in your expertise to find solutions in challenging situations. The role ensures our employees and people managers get optimal support in order to shorten the amount of time before sustainable full reintegration as much as possible by providing them advice, instructions and status‑updates. The role proactively identifies areas for improvement with regard to managing sickness and actively advises the company when there are opportunities for interventions or to improve our policies and processes around sickness management. In order to assist our stakeholders to the best of our abilities, the role contributes and assists to different automation and AI integration programmes.
Key Responsibilities- Manage end‑to‑end sickness absence process portfolio for all long‑term and/or complex cases, while connecting with, and managing, the relevant stakeholders to ensure compliance and progress of reintegration.
- Manage all mandatory information, tasks and responsibilities to both the employee and the manager during a sickness absence case in accordance with the Gatekeeper Act and internal policies.
- Manage all mandatory information, tasks and coordination to and with external Arbo services (e.g. Company Doctor, mediators, workability specialists).
- Ensure meticulous administration of sickness absence cases within scope, which lead to trusted data and reporting (and steer data/analytics), which requires strong partnering with other stakeholders such as HROps teams.
- Ensure compliance with the NL social security institution.
- Provide regular and ad‑hoc reporting to all relevant stakeholders such as HRA, business leaders.
- Identify non‑sickness related matters and find a way to resolve those matters before they escalated into a long‑term sick leave.
- Contribute to the ongoing improvements of processes and systems to minimize manual work and optimize our added value.
- At least 3 years in a Case Management (or HR Advisory) role.
- Extensive knowledge of (and experience working with) Gatekeeper act (Wet Verbetering Poortwachter).
- Excellent analytical skills, able to quickly get to the core of a situation.
- Ability to structure work and effectively drive adherence to the applicable calendar/action plan from all stakeholders.
- Ability to effectively manage expectations and escalating to relevant stakeholders when applicable.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills (to deal with sensitive, personal cases).
- Experience in an international environment is an advantage.
