International Regulations & Content Compliance at Warner Bros. Discovery ensures regulatory compliance for broadcast and on‑demand services. The role oversees license management and supports the business in meeting Dutch and wider EMEA media requirements, maintaining relationships with regulators essential to the continuation of our business.
Responsibilities- Oversee the application, surrender, audit and management of licenses, with emphasis on licensing processes with the Dutch media regulator CvdM.
- Ensure compliance with the Dutch Media Act, CvdM policy guidelines, Dutch Advertising codes and related regulations.
- Manage reporting cycles required by the CvdM (e.g., EU quota, prominence, access services), coordinating with internal departments and submitting final reports.
- Track compliance with license obligations, train internal teams on requirements and monitor business adherence.
- Respond to queries on license ownership and regulatory requirements for channel launches, advertising, sponsoring, and commercial initiatives.
- Manage and develop the licenses database to ensure accuracy and reliable documentation.
- Partner with internal teams to develop compliant solutions for commercial deals and business partnerships.
- Stay informed about regulatory developments, advising the business on new obligations and supporting public affairs activities with government and industry stakeholders.
- Master’s degree in Dutch Law (LLM).
- Proven experience in a legal or regulatory role.
- Familiarity with the Dutch Media Act and Dutch Advertising Authority guidelines is a strong plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deliver under tight deadlines.
- Creative problem‑solving skills and a collaborative mindset.
