Job description

Job Description VSPARTICLE (VSP) is an ambitious nanotechnology company that is on a mission to change the world of material development. For the development of clean energy and sensing applications, millions of new materials need to be explored. VSP develops cutting-edge technology that unlocks and accelerates the discovery of novel materials with advanced properties—materials that can contribute to solving some of the world’s biggest challenges in green hydrogen, gas sensing and batteries.

Your job with us As our Sales Manager, you won’t just sell—you’ll create impact. You’ll own short- and long-term revenue growth for the equipment and deposition services portfolios, guiding customers through every stage, from first contact and demos to deal closure and technology adoption.

You will work across a diverse customer base, supporting academic researchers in advancing their work with our existing tools, while building strategic partnerships with industrial players who integrate our technology into their R&D programs and long-term innovation strategies. In doing so, you will shape joint roadmaps and act as the key link between customers and internal teams, ensuring our solutions are driven by real customer needs and market demand

Responsibilities

  • Drive revenue with equipment business: Identify opportunities, generate leads, progress accounts and close deals with global customers
  • Manage deposition service accounts strategically: Build long-term relationships, understand customer roadmaps, and support technology adoption, working towards long-term supply agreements.
  • Own the sales process end-to-end: From prospecting to closing high-value deals, you’ll lead every step.
  • Collaborate across teams: Work closely with marketing, product development, applications, and operations to deliver seamless customer experiences.
  • Shape growth strategy: Contribute insights to pricing, positioning, product roadmaps, and short- and long-term revenue forecasts.
Job requirements

Required Skills & Experience:

  • M.Sc. In Material Science, Inorganic Chemistry, or a related field, or B.Sc. With 5+ years’ experience (MBA or Ph.D. A plus).
  • 5+ years of technical B2B sales experience, ideally with CAPEX equipment for both academia and industry. Experience with other sales processes like components or consumables is seen as a bonus.
  • Strong track record in building relationships and closing complex, high-value deals.
  • Ability to translate technical solutions into clear customer value and ROI.
  • Full professional proficiency in English; additional major languages are an advantage.
  • Self-driven, analytical, results-oriented, with strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills.

Why Join VSPARTICLE?

We are an ambitious scale-up where you can truly make an impact—contributing to revolutionizing materials development and enabling industry and researchers to tackle global challenges such as green hydrogen production.

At VSP we offer:

  • Salary between € 4500 - € 6000
  • A modern office with lab facilities in the heart of Delft
  • Flexibility for hybrid work
  • A non-hierarchical structure and a diverse, international team
  • Free daily lunch and regular social events
  • 30 vacation days, pension scheme, travel allowance, SARs package, and a personal development budget
  • The possibility to lease a bicycle through the company plan
