Tax Reporting & Compliance Manager | Leiden area
PositionDue to the strong growth of the organization a new position has arisen for a Tax Reporting & Compliance Manager at the headquarters in the Leiden Area. In this role, you will take ownership of corporate tax reporting and compliance processes across the Dutch entities, while supporting in international activities where required. This is a hands‑on role in which you will contribute to building and structuring the direct tax function within a fast‑growing international business. You will work closely with Finance, Legal and external advisors, ensuring that tax reporting is accurate, timely and aligned with both local and international requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Managing and coordinating the corporate income tax compliance process, including oversight of outsourced tax filings and ensuring timely and accurate submissions.
- Contributing to the setup and continuous improvement of tax reporting processes, documentation and internal controls,
- Preparing and reviewing tax provisions and tax reporting (current and deferred tax) in line with applicable accounting standards.
- Supporting quarterly and year-end closing processes by determining and validating the tax position in the financial statements.
- Supporting the business with cross‑border tax reporting requirements and ensuring consistency across jurisdictions.
- Acting as a key point of contact for external advisors and auditors, ensuring alignment on tax reporting and compliance matters.
- Monitoring developments in Dutch and international tax legislation and translating these into practical implications for the business.
- Supporting Finance and other stakeholders with tax‑related data, analysis and guidance.
The ideal candidate is a structured and analytical tax professional who enjoys working with data, reporting processes and compliance, while contributing to building a tax function in a dynamic environment.
Requirements- University degree in Tax Law or Tax Economics.
- Approximately 5–7 years of relevant experience in tax reporting and/or tax compliance, gained in a multinational environment or tax advisory firm.
- Strong knowledge of Dutch corporate income tax and familiarity with tax reporting and accounting principles.
- Experience with tax reporting processes and financial data.
- Comfortable working with external advisors and auditors.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and a structured approach.
- Fluent in English; Dutch is considered a plus.
