About the Job:As a Service Parts Planning & Digitalization Specialist, you will play a key role in building and improving BYD Europe’s aftermarket spare parts planning capabilities.
In this role, you will focus on designing and implementing data-driven planning approaches to improve demand forecasting, inventory management, and warehouse network efficiency across Europe.
You will work at the intersection of business and technology — translating supply chain challenges into structured planning logic, data models, and system solutions. This includes leveraging digital tools and AI-driven approaches to enhance planning accuracy and operational efficiency.
This is not a pure IT or system support role. It requires strong involvement in designing and optimizing planning logic and driving digitalization in supply chain operations.
Main responsibilities:- Spare Parts Planning & Optimization: Design and continuously improve spare parts planning logic, including demand forecasting, safety stock strategies, and replenishment rules, adapting to a growing and evolving European aftersales network.
- Data-Driven Planning & Analytics: Analyze operational and historical data to identify improvement opportunities in forecast accuracy, inventory levels, and service performance. Build analytical models or tools to support decision‑making.
- Digitalization & System Implementation: Translate planning requirements into system or tool solutions (e.g., SAP, WMS, OMS, or other planning tools), and support the implementation of planning‑related functionalities.
- AI & Advanced Analytics Application: Explore and apply AI/ML or advanced analytics methods in supply chain scenarios (e.g., demand forecasting, anomaly detection, inventory optimization).
- Process Building & Continuous Improvement: Support the development of standardized planning processes from early‑stage setup to scalable operations. Continuously refine planning logic based on business growth and data insights.
- Cross‑functional Collaboration: Work closely with aftersales, logistics, IT, and HQ teams to align planning strategies, system capabilities, and operational execution.
- 3–6 years of experience in supply chain planning, inventory management, or supply chain analytics. Experience in spare parts or aftersales is a plus, but not mandatory.
- Strong understanding of planning concepts such as demand forecasting, safety stock, and replenishment logic.
- Educational background in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Mathematics, Data Science, or related fields.
- Hands‑on experience with data analysis tools (e.g., Python, SQL, Excel). Experience with data modelling or optimization is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with ERP or planning systems (e.g., SAP, IBP, APO, or similar) is a plus.
- Experience or strong interest in applying AI/ML in supply chain scenarios (e.g., forecasting, optimization) is preferred.
- Strong problem‑solving skills, with the ability to structure ambiguous business problems and translate them into analytical or system solutions.
- Good communication skills, able to work across business and technical teams in an international environment.
- Performance and experience‑based competitive remuneration, pension plan.
- 25 holidays + option to purchase 5 extra holidays.
- Commuting allowance.
- Department & company‑wide teambuilding events.
- An exciting opportunity to lead the European transition to Zero Emissions transportation and de‑carbonization of the economy.
